In July 2015, a three-judge panel confirmed a case of delivery room negligence, which held one doctor liable for about $900,000 in damages. At the conclusion of the case, the panel ruled that the doctor breached the standard of care by providing inadequate prenatal and delivery services.

Additionally, the doctor failed to perform an ultrasound which would have provided him an adequate estimate of the baby’s weight before performing delivery. Many state that a caesarian section would have been the best option in this case.
